Hi edgar, The actual portaudio bug in question exists, you found just a workaround: compile espeak with pulseaudio backend instead of portaudio backend. You've got a working espeak, but portaudio still doesn't work correctly. You can test it with other programs, which use portaudio for sound output. However, i tested only with one of such apps (besides espeak)
