** Description changed:

  Binary package hint: firefox-3.0

On the site http://slashdot.org/ scroll by clicking repeatedly on the
down-arrow of the vertical scrollbar. Every day somewhere around the
middle it will jump several articles with one click. It seems to be
related to certain ad's going by but I'm not sure of that.
+
+ Update: This bug cannot be reproduced by scrolling quickly. It only
+ seems to happen when scrolling and pausing, at the speed of reading the
+ web page. Also, it seems to be a problem in Firefox computing the size
+ of the web page. When this happens the scrollbar thumb is approaching
+ the bottom when the jump happens. Then after the jump the thumb pops up
+ to the upper part of the scrollbar and reduces in size as if the visible
+ area is now a smaller percentage of the total page.

Another related problem happens if you press the same down-arrow button
and leave it pressed for continuous scrolling. As the web page scrolls
the window will suddenly dim and a message appears saying "Firehose
Paused due to inactivity". These problems don't happen in Windows XP
using the same version of Firefox.
