Ah, sorry, my mistake: I don't even have nfs-common installed under Feisty. I 
was confused about this because I'm happily using an NFS share (mounted 
statically in /etc/fstab) even without the nfs-common package. I had assumed 
this was impossible, but clearly nfs-common *isn't* required for mounting and 
using NFS shares, only portmap.

I can only conclude that *one* of my installed packages had portmap as a
dependency under Edgy but not under Feisty. I guess it doesn't matter
which, and you can close the bug.
