Thanks. I have tried removing indicator-applet to see what would happen.
Today the problem came back again. So this is really not a problem of
indicator-applet, sorry.

Today when I was using evolution, there was an error message that
/myhome/.evolution/... is read only. Then I tried to reboot the system. I was
asked to use "fsck" to chek the "/" partition. The problem is somehow like this
one:
http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=108079

And I found more discussions here:
http://www.linuxquestions.org/questions/mandriva-30/ext3-integrity-issues-180304/

As it is said that the problem is "Most likely improper shutdown. Second
most likely is bad hard drive." For me, I met it several times per week
that Ubuntu could not be shutdown correctly. It just stopped there with
a black screen and a flushing input prompt. Then I need to push the
power button to force the shut down. I do know that this is not good,
but I cannot control anything at that time. You know, I tried to use
Ctrl+Alt+F... to change the tty. But I cannot input anything there.

What should I do? Thanks a lot for your kind helps.
