I tried Tim's fix and it did not work for me. I think I need to give up or go
into the details.
I have tried to use the USB creator in Ubuntu 9.0.4 to create a xubuntu 8.0.4
USB. I think it does not hold together?

I could try the same procedure with ubuntu 8.0.4 and leave the x factor
out for the moment. If that does not work I think the conclusion must be
that USB boot should be created manally on the 8.0.4 level and maybe I
should move to 9.0.4 instead. I prefere the LTS though.

Thank you.
