This bug is critical! You cannot mark it as of low importance. If the fix at http://qa.openoffice.org/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=100429 is working it must be backported in Jaunty's OOo as soon as possible and I mean it.
It is really really bad to lose tables working with .doc files for a second time in a week and especially when in both cases it is noticed and complained by my client. I had to export those files to the MediaWiki format for saving data from those invisible tables, then recreate them, save as .odt and send to a friend of mine and ask her to save it to a .doc using OOo 2.4 and send me back. Please put the effort to fix it asap.
