Hmm, perhaps this bug's package assignment needs tweaking: are most people here talking about the radeon driver, or about fglrx?
I've just managed to work around / fix my own fglrx lag by reverting the fix for this bug: https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+bug/254468 MASTER: momentary video garbage upon drawing new objects I had to manually dig around to find the "don't backfill" patch that was dropped, and re-patch my X server. So, it seems something in that piece of code is horribly slow on fglrx. This also would explain why the unimimize lag is directly proportional to the area of a window. -- [ubuntu 9.04 beta]slow unminimizing with ati card and desktop effects enabled https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/351186 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
