Public bug reported: Binary package hint: ubuntu-docs
I just followed the upgrade from intrepid to jaunty. After a lot of following bug reports of dvd doesn't work finally got it working in intrepid. After "upgrading" to jaunty I no longer am able to play dvd again. I have followed directions to /usr/share/doc/dvdread4 and run the script. I've installed ffmpeg again after having it ripped in the "upgrade". There is also no way in the "System" menu to "Shut down the computer" or log off or restart. I guess I'm just supposed to use terminal? Trying to be helpful but don't know what packages are involved j...@zendo:~$ uname -r 2.6.28-11-generic j...@zendo:~$ uname -a Linux Zendo 2.6.28-11-generic #42-Ubuntu SMP Fri Apr 17 01:57:59 UTC 2009 i686 GNU/Linux this used to give the machine it is running on this si a AMD 64 Quad Core I don't know how to attach screen shots but my "system" menu contains only Preferences> Admin> Help & Support About Gnome About Ubuntu jim ** Affects: ubuntu-docs (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- dvd doesn't play https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/372919 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
