I've also been running update Jaunty for a week or so and it's been
fine, but tonight I ran updates while fiddling with amarok and my system
froze. DRT. I had no choice but to power cycle and upon rebooting it
froze again right after entering my password and hitting enter. I
rebooted again to the same behavior. I have keyboard and mouse when GDM
shows up so I can switch to a terminal window, but I don't know what to
do since I have no internet at this point (wireless). The previous post
isn't inspiring me because he tried many different things. If I switch
back to the GDM window and enter my password and hit enter it insta-
freezes again. I'm writing this from Hardy which thankfully I still have
installed for situations just like this. I eagerly await a better fix
for this completely debilitating bug.
