I looked at kmod.c in jaunty's linux-source-2.6.28 package. The code of interest has been re-written. The corresponding code seems to be in call_usermodehelper_exec() now. That new routine correctly saves off the return value before freeing the sub_info structure.
So I believe this bug does NOT affect jaunty and can be closed/removed/whatever. brian -- sub_info dereferenced after free in finish_usermodehelper_pipe https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/132089 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
