Public bug reported: Hello
I've been getting a strange bug that has appeared since Dapper (I'm currently running Feisty) which involves the output colours of a video when played using xvimagesink. When using XV output in Mplayer and VLC there doesn't seem to be a problem. However both Totem and gst-launch-0.10 filesrc location=./videofile.avi ! avidemux ! xviddec ! ffmpegcolorspace ! videoscale method=1 ! xvimagesink return the same colour distortion. If ximagesink is selected in gstreamer-properties the picture is also fine. My hardware is a Toshiba Tecra A6 laptop with a Mobile Radeon X1400 video card using fglrx version 8.32.5, however this has occurred in all previous versions since Dapper. Curiously, I found that enabling XGL (not AIGLX) fixed the problem, however this isn't very practical. I will attach screenshots of the video output and my xorg.conf and xvinfo output. Thanks for your time. ** Affects: gst-plugins-base0.10 (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: Unconfirmed -- xvimagesink/fglrx x1400 - Strange video colour hues https://launchpad.net/bugs/79559 -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
