After upgrading to jaunty, I also have the dbus-daemon memory. I can see it increase in size.
I have narrowed it down to using dolphin and kate. I'm not sure if has anything to do with accessing ssh shares, samba shares, etc, because I access many drives with dolphin. Also, I have Kubunu installed as an addition to my regular Ubuntu. I did an upgrade to Juanty from Intrepid.
