Confirmed with both: NEC ND-3540A (IDE) and Sony NEC AD-7203A (IDE) on MA78GPM-DS2H motherboard. Jaunty Alt. 64bit. Using manual raid or LVM partitioning. Did get once through the whole installation with raid1 mounted on / and another raid1 for swap, however that was not my ideal configuration...
