Just trying to be constructive : It is said that "glxgears is not a benchmark".
Would it be hard to make a glxgear that would be one with reproducible results ? If running ppracer is considered as a benchmark, why not have a glxgear that does everything like a game (including some artificial computations) ? If such a tool exists, it deserves to be known a bit more.
