Hi,

You could try to just disable compositing instead of DRI.
Add or edit this section in /etc/X11/xorg.conf:

Section "Extensions"
        Option "Composite" "Disable"
EndSection

That's the only change I have applied to avoid this bug at the expense of
losing desktop effects.
