Sorry, i spoke too soon in my last reply. > Are you installing an i386 iso on amd64? no. The i386iso fails on pentium D, P4 and Opteron. The Amd64 iso installs succesfully on the Opteron.
Also, The i386 cdrom check passes and the i386iso md5 checksum passes .
