That's what I suspected - somekind of config corruption (I don't remember exactly but it happened a few weeks ago when a major upgrade came). Nevermind.
Can you advise me any quick and painless way to reinstall those packages? Any specific order of steps during reinstallation? Moreover, is there a way to kind of reset X/system config to default, or something? I'd really like to avoid reinstalling the whole system for fear of losing some data/the necessity of huge backups for which I currently have no media to store. The 2.7 driver seems to change nothing. Still software rasterizer is in use and the dri module cannot be loaded.
