Fresh install of jaunty, the ATI drivers are not available within the
proprietary drivers to activate. I tried to install manually the 9.4 driver,
and I have the same behavior as Luiz Marcelo Serique, I could also film a video
with the same content....
uname -r   ->   2.6.28-11-generic
aticonfig --list-adapters -> aticonfig: No supported adapters detected
lspci |grep VGA -> 01:05.0 VGA compatible controller: ATI Technologies Inc
RS482 [Radeon Xpress 200M]
I had no problems while using intrepid, so I tried to install driver ATI
version 9.3, I still have configuration problems but at least aticonfig
--list-adapters tells me the ATI chip has not vaporized.
I believe the problem is that the 9.3 driver does not see the right X.org
version...
[atiddxSetup] X version mismatch - detected X.org 7.1.0.0, required X.org
7.4.-1.906.

If there is something else I can do to better identify the bug please
let me know.
