sabby7890, please stop nagging about viruses. This has nothing to do with viruses at all! A virus is an executable file that copies itself into another executable. This bug wouldn't in any way permit a user to write to its executable, nor any other executable, hence it's not a virus.
Though it is annoying that a bug in one application is able to "hang" the entire desktop, it is not in any way a security issue since you have to install the application and run it manually. You should be aware that any application you run will have all the same rights as you do, including deleting all your files, which would be alot more problematic than this bug. Also, this bug doesn't affect other users. -- [Jaunty] alarm-clock causes screen to freeze https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/321176 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
