Same happening here. After installing nvidia-glx and running "sudo nvidia-glx-configure enakubuntu-6.06-alternate-amd64.ble" the X-server crashes. The xorg.conf and the log produced while not starting are attached.
My workaround: The kubuntu-6.06-alternate-amd64-CD installed on another partition generated a working xorg.conf that I copied into my 32-bit dapper installation.
