I upgraded my 8.10 to 9.04, keeping my /home partition. I aldready had this 
problem before, thinking upgrading would fix the problem... but it didn't!!
I don't want to delete all the folders mentionned by s.felli (.gnome .gnome2 
.gconf .gconfd .metacity) but it could be interesting to know which file(s) in 
these folders need to be deleted. It would allow not to delete all the gnome 
configuration files.
Any idea?
I plan to backup, then delete them, and see if the problem disappears.
