Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: dpkg

In the manpage dpkg(1) on german Kubuntu 9.04, there is a section
"INFORMATIONEN ÜBER PAKETE"
english: Informations about packets.
There are the possible states of packets described. The state names are (nearly
all) translated to german.
While it is nice to have a german translation of the description of these state
names, I think it makes no sense to translate the names themselve, because
these are keywords used in e.g. the file /var/lib/dpkg/status.
There are for example the state names:
 * nicht-installiert
  I think this should be not-installed
 * Config-Dateien
  maybe config-files
 * halb-installiert
  partly-installed or half-installed ?
and so on...

** Affects: dpkg (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
