2 seperate issues here. First: pdf unavailable. The option is there due to braindead libgnomeprint. I had planned on fixing it before Dapper was released, but got sidetracked by other things / couldn't se ehow to do it.
Second: postscript output wrong. Could you please provide more info. A copy of the resulting ps file would be nice. Failing that, which doc were you trying to print? Was it "Print entire document" or "Print selected page". Did the preview show up correctly?
