I can confirm this bug as well. Upon launching alarm-clock cpu usage spikes to 100%, time stops, the system monitors on the bottom pane stop scrolling. Once clicking in the actual window it doesn't let interact with anything on the screen via mouse. Able to switch to a virtual terminal, but if you try to switch back it will bring you to a blank screen in which the unit does not respond to the ctrl+alt+backspace command. Keyboard locks up completely, num lock light etc do not correspond when pressing the buttons. The only way out of this phase in the lockup is to cold boot the machine
