My hardware info: CPU: AMD Phenom Quad Core 9600 (2.3GHz) AM2+ Motherboard: ECS A780GM-A AMD 780G
With the "no xv" workaround, videos play just fine. All 4 CPU cores run at about 25% load. Without the workaround, CPU put a big load on 1 core, while the other 3 cores remain mostly idle. The load on this one core is proportional to the playback window size. Enlarging the window increases the load. Once the load reaches 100% and I enlarge the window further, the video starts to skip or the system crashes. -- System hangs with desktop-effects on during video playback https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/333027 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
