Public bug reported: A strange feature here, where it seems my fully updated Ubuntu 8.10 laptop happens to crash mostly on Mondays. Seriously. Other days (Tue- Fri) it's fine. On previous Mondays I thought it might have to do with problems in waking up after suspending, but it also happens after a clean shutdown, total inactivity (of the laptop) over the weekend, and a clean startup on Monday.
The has sufficient memory (2 GB), is not using excessive memory or cpu, nor is it getting hot when this happens. The laptop just stalls unexpectedly, mostly when I do things like checking mail (on Evolution, kmail or Thunderbird) and/or printing stuff (evince). All I can do is a hard reboot, after which everything is fine again. Until the next Monday.
