I have the same problem and my video card is an Intel 4500, so it doesn't seem to be video card related. I've read in another bug report (I don't have the number at hand) that it may be related to the iwlagn module, but again it is difficult to know.
Right now the iwlagn module seems to be related to at least another bug in my system (including this one, which I think it is related to iwlagn), causing random hangups. I have to carry some tests to determine if this is true or not, though.
