Yes, this seems to be still issue even as of Kubuntu 9.04 (tested on
AMD64 9.04 Kubuntu) - it's new network manager allows to configure VPNs.
But unfortunately there is no PPTP in list. Only OpenVPN and Cisco VPN
are available out of the box. Users who depend on PPTP to access
Internet (and in my country there is probably several millions of such
users) will be unable to configure it in easy and user-friendly manner.
This means that these users are doomed to fail when trying to use
Kubuntu.
