I get a similar message whenever I try to perform any updates since moving to Jaunty:
Extract templates from packages: 100% Preconfiguring packages ... (Reading database ... dpkg: unrecoverable fatal error, aborting: files list file for package `network-manager' contains empty filename E: Sub-process /usr/bin/dpkg returned an error code (2) I have tried to update only network-manager. I have tried to remove it. I have tried to update all the other packages except network-manager. All to no avail. Can anyone help?
