Public bug reported: Binary package hint: xserver-xorg-video-radeon
When the color depth is set to 16 bits, the Xv video gives a green or blue picture, depending on the player. At 24 bits, it plays without problems. The system is: Description: Ubuntu 9.04 Release: 9.04 VGA is: 01:00.0 VGA compatible controller: ATI Technologies Inc Radeon Mobility M6 LY with 8 MB ram. With this memory size, I can't get DRI at 24 bits, and the overall performance is bad. With 16 bits, the desktop is real snappy. (glxgears fps: 6...@24 bit, 4...@16 bit, ~1...@16 bit+HyperZ) So it would be really nice to be able to watch vids in 16 bit too. There was a bug, https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/40463 with the same symptoms, I decided to file a new report becouse of the different hardware. ** Affects: xserver-xorg-video-ati (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- no xv video overlay when depth is set to 16 bits https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/366085 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
