i tried suspend and hibernate the first time. it seems the screen gets
black but at some point nothing more happeneds.. the computer does not
switch himself off or goes in hibernate or suspend mode. ( i tried both
with pretty much the same results)

swapon -s shows that there is no swap at all. maybe this is a problem?
ill make a swap file now and test again.
