It's "freeware" however I don't see any source code available to compile it myself, I tried running the download however there are problems because it's looking for a dependency in the wrong place (I already have it installed). This kind of thing could be avoided if I have the ability to compile it myself. If the source code is available then great, however I only see a binary.
With that being said, with only a binary it's going to be a complete pain to maintain this thing. I suggest you go to the author and convince him or her to release the source code under any license they like then put in a request to package it in Debian (then add the request status here). When Debian adds it, Ubuntu will pull it from Debian when they next take a snapshot of unstable. -- [needs-packaging] gcad3d https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/158249 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
