When I type apt-get in my console and press tab to see available options,
"purge" option is not displayed.
pt-get
autoclean build-dep clean dselect-upgrade install
source upgrade
autoremove check dist-upgrade help remove
update
Man page of apt-get says, there is purge option
pt-get
autoclean build-dep clean dselect-upgrade install

It's easier to choose purge from the list of options instead of typing
it manually.
