I would recommend for the time being that you run `acpid -d` for a few moments 
and gather the results of that; and post them here. In my case; the laptop 
seems to emit asus wireless on signals until the end. I've removed 
/etc/acpi/events/asus-wireless-on and /etc/acpi/events/asus-wireless-2; and now 
I can run with the acpid running without stressing a processor.

This is, however; more a temporary fix then a real solution. I think
there is a bug in the ACPI hardware or kernel modules which generate
these superfluous events.
