Public bug reported: I'm not sure if it only applies to Banshee media player. If you click on the banshee icon in the notification area and you already have Banshee opened on some other workspace, the current workspace will change to that with the Banshee on it.. UNLESS you have other application in focus. This means the current workspace won't change, until you click on the desktop (make current window unfocused). Hope this make sense.
Steps to reproduce: 1. Open Banshee media player on workspace 1 2. Switch to second workspace (or any other workspace) 3. Open some application (i.e. gedit) 4. Click on the banshee icon in the notification area - nothing happens 5. Click on the desktop and then on the banshee icon - the workspace will switch to workspace 1 This happens with compiz enabled. The workaround is disabling focus stealing prevention completely (low is not enough) ** Affects: ubuntu Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Summary changed: - clicking on the notification area icon doesn't move to the workspace with the application + clicking on the notification area icon doesn't move to the workspace with the applicatio ** Description changed: I'm not sure if it only applies to Banshee media player.
