There's a workaround to this problem, and you're halfway there by using the fusion-icon app, but it needs to be launched each time you log in.
Go to system -> Preferences -> Startup Applications / Sessions Click add name: fusion-icon command: fusion-icon Then click add again and restart X. The only problem is that metacity will start for a brief moment when you log in, before compiz takes over, and it can look a little untidy and bouncy for a minute. -- Compositing is disabled after last updates https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/363369 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
