Well, it doesn't necessarily have to. I just thought it seemed odd that there was a separator there when there's nothing to separate, so I thought it was a bug (i.e.: something was missing, or it shouldn't be there). Of course, it didn't cross my mind that it might have supposed to not be there until you replied, but it does make sense.
Personally, I see no need for a separator there. If someone wants one, they can add it. Otherwise, it just doesn't belong.
