Public bug reported: My sound card is an Intel ICH9:
relevant "lspci" output 00:1b.0 Audio device: Intel Corporation 82801I (ICH9 Family) HD Audio Controller (rev 03) Subsystem: Hewlett-Packard Company Device 30f4 Flags: bus master, fast devsel, latency 0, IRQ 22 Memory at df000000 (64-bit, non-prefetchable) [size=16K] Capabilities: <access denied> Kernel driver in use: HDA Intel Kernel modules: snd-hda-intel ores...@raimon:~$ lsb_release -rd Description: Ubuntu 9.04 Release: 9.04 Please note that I'm using Kubuntu with NO pulseaudio (with xine phonon backend), so it's not definitely a pulseaudio issue. Sound was working ok before upgrading to Jaunty, although I've had to load snd-hda-intel module with "enable_msi=1" parameter for sound to work properly (sounds choppy if not) Now I've NO sound at all with new Jaunty kernel 2.6.28-11-generic. Sound starts to work again if I switch back to 2.6.27-11-generic (the Intrepid kernel), so I assume it may be a kernel issue. ** Affects: ubuntu Importance: Undecided Status: New -- No sound after upgrading Intrepid to Jaunty beta https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/362444 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
