Public bug reported: When I plug in my Sandisk Sansa Express mp3 player the 1G internal storage is detected but not the 2G Sandisk MicroSD card.
But when I put the card in a SD card adapter and use it in the card reader in my laptop it mounts fine and I am able to copy files to and delete from it. Attached is dmesg after plugging the player in with the card inside it. The device is normally recognized as sdc1 on previous releases but this is not in /dev. $ lsb_release -rd Description: Ubuntu 9.04 Release: 9.04 $ apt-cache policy linux linux: Installed: (none) Candidate: 2.6.28.11.14 Version table: 2.6.28.11.14 0 500 http://gb.archive.ubuntu.com jaunty/restricted Packages ProblemType: Bug Architecture: i386 DistroRelease: Ubuntu 9.04 MachineType: LENOVO 423323G Package: linux-image-2.6.28-11-generic 2.6.28-11.41 ProcCmdLine: root=UUID=83ed5fb5-26b9-4c3d-8d8b-3d2c2066d85f ro quiet splash ProcEnviron: PATH=(custom, user) LANG=en_GB.UTF-8 SHELL=/bin/bash ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 2.6.28-11.41-generic SourcePackage: linux ** Affects: linux (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: apport-bug i386 -- MicroSD card is not detected in Sandisk Sansa Express https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/362049 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
