I seem to have the same problem now on 2.6.28.11, on boot the boot menu appears allowing me to chose kernel alternatives, then when I chose 2.6.28.11 there is no further drive activity, finally the boot drops into the busybox shell.
If I select to boot kernel 2.6.27.11 all works fine. This all happened after I made a package update, a massive two weeks of upgrades at once, asking for a reboot. Possibly the update had included a change of kernels, not sure. Upon the reboot the default boot option (2.6.28.11) failed as mentioned. My workaround so far is to boot 2.6.27.11 but am curious to know if I can get going on 2.6.28.11 somehow. -- jaunty 2.6.28-11-server kernel will not mount root partition https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/349307 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
