Sorry for late answer. As per my Opinion the main reason for crashes while trying to open sites with SWF-files is, that Adobes "Macromedia Install-Flashplayer" will not support the "x86_64"-architecture. I tried to install this plugin from the Adobe website and got the appropriate error message. I never had problems with files like these with Firefox-versions up to 1.5___. May be, that also the mozilla-gnome support will not work properly, because , when running SUSE 10.1 (x86_64-version) with Firefox-version 2.__ in KDE, SWF-files will be displayed properly including sound and animation and all the stuff that belong to such files. For testing purposes you may try the following site "www.bachpacks.com". best regards Reinhard Kathmann -- Crash while playing Shockwave-flash media https://launchpad.net/bugs/73112 -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
