I finally managed to turn off the freefall sensor of my hard disk and since then I had no more crashes. So either my hard disk is defect and causes crashes if the freefall sensor is activated or Linux has a problem with the freefall sensor.
I deactivated the freefall sensor with the following command: sg__sat_set_features --feature=c1h /dev/sda However, I had to compile the sg3_utils myself as the ubuntu package does not contain this program.
