I tried that a while back, and unless I did it incorrectly (I couldn't tell because the kernel line ran off the screen), nothing changed. :/
I was trying to fix it other ways today. Reinstalling the kernel using Synaptic didn't work. Uninstalling it, rebooting, and then installing it through Synaptic did change it, but not by much. It didn't mention that nobody cared and didn't get to "Disabling IRQ #9", but it got stuck for 20 minutes on a blank screen after the "Starting up..." screen. Worse yet, now the other kernel has the same problem. V_V I upgraded to Jaunty too, but it also had the same problem, even tho it was using a newer kernel. I decided to reinstall Ubuntu completely later tonight. Sorry I can't be of more help, but I have to get this up and running soon. Thanks for your advice tho. -- disables IRQ 9 while booting, 20 minutes to boot https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/360597 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
