Like I said, other than the log entry I am at a loss to what caused it.
You can see from the timestamps from the log that it was a bit over two
hours before the kernel bug and the final entry before the reboot. I had
walked away from the machine for a bit and when I returned it was
responsive for maybe five to ten seconds before the lock up.

I had a number of windows open at the time, none of which were doing
anything intensive: Firefox, Evolution, Pidgin, a few Nautilus browsers.
The lock up was total and the session couldn't have been rescued. I had
to force a power down, something I'd like to avoid in the future.
