I totally understand. I made the mistake of cutting and pasting the patch from the browser, which converted it to UTF-8, instead of downloading it.
This seems to work, although the first three times I ran it, I would end up with a crash (dumped complaining of stack smashing), after that I have not been able to cause another crash. Might it be that the previous version left the camera in a whacky state that it took a few restarts to clear up? I will reboot, and see how things go from a clean start.
