Certainly not a duplicate. First analysis of the package:
- no full sources. the linux binary tarball ships a bunch of binary libraries: - libfaac (already in ubuntu) - libmp3lame (too - libamrnb & libamrwb (both unredistributable - license of them do not permit it) - include a static copy of the 'ffmpeg' binary - the thing seems implemented in a weird language I don't know, perhaps basic or ruby, no idea. - then they claim of them were produced by them and claiming it GPL. All in all pretty serious licensing issues. I've contacted the ffmpeg developers about that to engage legal action against them. I see no chance to get that included into ubuntu in this form. -- [needs-packaging] Mobile Media Converter https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/334947 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
