Public bug reported: Hello. Now that gtk-qt-engine has been removed from the default installation due to being unmaintained, QtCurve has been made the default for GTK apps running on Kubuntu, which is a very good decision as it is.
But without gtk-qt-engine, the whole GUI for changing GTK apps' look and feel from Kubuntu System Settings has been lost. Even if I don't want to set a separate GTK style (seeing as I like QtCurve personally) I would like to change the fonts of GTK apps (since they look bigger than my KDE fonts and hence don't blend in well) and others might in fact actually like to use another GTK style for their GTK apps (other than QtCurve). I also don't want to drag in the whole of GNOME (which installing gtk- qt-engine currently entails) for just gaining this GUI. So please make a simple way to set the look and feel of GTK apps from within Kubuntu. My Firefox really looks awkward. ** Affects: ubuntu Importance: Undecided Status: New -- Restore GUI for changing GTK apps' look and feel from KDE 4 https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/360131 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
