Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: network-manager

On Kubuntu edgy, the network manager likes to connect to open wireless
networks even if a wired network is present, as described here: bug
#47379, bug #40232.

However, this behavior continues even if I disable wireless under
options in the KNetworkManager application! I have to manually type
ifdown eth1 to really shut down wireless.

I'm not sure if the problem is in network manager or KNetworkManager or
how to find that out, but I'm happy to run diagnostics.

** Affects: network-manager (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: Unconfirmed
