I should have been more clear. cups-driver-gutenprint package should
have been installed. If it is installed, cups will use it, not cupsys-
driver-gutenprint. If your printer worked in Ubuntu, try installing the
additional packages to Xubuntu. Also, if that works, please list those
packages in this report. That will help Xubuntu developers resolve this
issue.
I'm going to mark it as confirmed and let them handle it from here.

Installing a network printer (Dell 1320c) with cups in Xubuntu makes that it
only prints 3 pages of each job. It works perfectly in Ubuntu (8.04 and 8.10)
