the bug is easily reproducible on my machine if pulseaudio is configured to run 
as a system instance and when mpd is using this system instance to play music.

In my /etc/pulse/default.pa I have

.ifexists module-hal-detect.so
load-module module-hal-detect tsched=0
.else

and it doesn't help.
